Thank you for volunteering with Big Canoe Animal Rescue, Inc. (BCAR). All of the services provided by BCAR are provided by volunteers. The work we do for the dogs and cats would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. In order to protect BCAR and our rescued dogs and cats, we ask that you acknowledge you have read and fully understand the terms and conditions indicated below.

• You will abide by the mission, rules and regulations, guidelines, and policies of BCAR
  while you are a volunteer.
• You will not engage in any unsafe, illegal, or unethical activities while acting as a BCAR
  volunteer.
• Your services are being donated to BCAR, and you are not an employee of BCAR and
  are therefore not eligible for pay, insurance, retirement, workers compensation,
  unemployment compensation, or any other employee benefit.
• You recognize that working with animals places you at physical risk, and you agree to
  assume the risk attendant to such activities. You understand that BCAR is not
  responsible for any illness or injury caused by any animals you come in contact with
  during your volunteer work. On behalf of yourself, your heirs, and your personal
  representatives, you hereby release and hold harmless BCAR, its Board of Directors, and
  other volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, and causes of action
  which may arise from your volunteer work for BCAR.
• You agree that in the event of any injury while performing a volunteer service for BCAR,
  to seek medical attention using your own medical insurance.
