Your donations are very important to us. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we depend on donations to keep our rescue open. We are all volunteers who work 365 days to clean, feed, provide veterinary care, and socialization for each and every homeless pet.

This is a question we all consider when donating to our favorite charities. When you make a donation to Big Canoe Animal Rescue, 100% of your funds are used for the animals in our care and, when possible, for outreach needs in our community.
OUR OPERATING EXPENSES
As shown in the following chart, the majority of donated funds are utilized for veterinary expenses. Our many volunteers are available to help provide the necessary support with transportation, which, along with your donations, allows us to meet the special medical needs of many of our rescues. We think this helps set BCAR apart from other rescues in our area.
Our wish list isn’t just for our kennel dogs. Big Canoe Animal Rescue helps feed family pets for folks living in our surrounding county who can’t afford pet food. Your donations of unopened, quality dog and cat food are always appreciated.
Keeping our kennel clean is a daily chore. Our kennel always needs the following items: paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, and other cleaning supplies. You can also shop online and have items directly shipped to Big Canoe Animal Rescue.
